Deck Compass

Rule Sailor II Compass:

While a GPS system is great for navigating, a good compass is a solid addition to a touring kayak.  Most GPS systems need movement to give a bearing, and for slow moving craft like kayaks this can lead to strange results when the compass display is used.  A compass will let you set a course and never needs batteries.

SEDA has sold and used the Sailor II compass for years based on the quality and reliable service delivered. This waterproof, domed, easy-to-read floating compass is marked in 5° increments and is easily mounted.  A flat circular mounting base permanently mounts to the deck, while the compass snaps in place allowing it to be left safely at home or in your gear bag if not needed.

Weight:  5.5oz

Mounting Plate:  4.25" diameter

Mounting Method:  Non-magnetic screws, rivets, or adhesive tape.  Sharply crowned decks may require fabricating a shim.
