SEDA Sea Kayaks

SEDA kayaks are available with several rudder options. Our solos come equipped with a Standard SEDA Rudder and Werner sliding foot braces. All SEDA solo kayaks may be upgraded to a Feathercraft™ K1 rudder and/or Smart-Track Toe Pilot foot braces. Our tandems come equipped with a Feathercraft™ K2 rudder with Werner sliding foot braces.

Standard SEDA Rudder System:

Our standard rudder is made from lightweight aluminum and provides smooth and easy movement when raising or lowering the blade. Werner sliding foot braces provide smooth motion back and forth to control the rudder. Cutouts on the inside of the aluminum rails help remove sand.

Separate kit includes all tubing, cable, fittings, fasteners, and installation instructions. This system will add approximately 5 lbs to the published weights.

Feathercraft™ K1 Rudder System:

A step up in performance from our standard rudder, the K1 provides a foiled blade for maximum efficiency. Werner sliding foot braces provide smooth motion back and forth to control the rudder. Cutouts on the inside of the aluminum rails help remove sand.

Smart-Track™ Rudder System:

This kit includes the Smart-Track rudder, Toe Pilot foot braces, and all hardware. This innovative system for rudder control allows for solid bracing while steering with the top of the foot. Foot braces with aluminum body deliver long life under harsh use. The adjusters are also easily reached from the cockpit for adjustment while on the water.

V-Block Rudder Rest:

Replace or upgrade your rudder rest. Quality ABS nylon V-block can be riveted or screwed onto the deck. Includes two rivets, retention bungee, and lashing hook.
