Color Options

The color on a composite boat comes from the gelcoat which is sprayed into the mold before any fabric or resin is applied.  Below is a list of our standard colors, but we are able to mix almost any color for a custom look at an additional charge.  For a truly unique look, consider adding a prismatique finish or a fade option!

Fiberglass (FG) or Hybrid (HYB) boats:  Kayaks ordered in either of these construction options come standard with an ivory hull.  Canoes come in the color you choose and the inside is un-gelcoated.  For more information on our build options please see Construction Materials.

Kevlar® (KEV):  Kayaks and canoes ordered in Kevlar® come standard with a clear hull so that the Kevlar® weave is visible.  Though the decks of our Kevlar® kayaks are normally gelcoated, you may specify a clear deck.  For more information on our build options please see Construction Materials.

Carbon/Kevlar® (CRB):  Available only on select kayak models, our Carbon/Kevlar® construction comes standard with a clear hull so that the graphite is visible and a clear deck so that the Kevlar® is visible.  For more information on our build options please see Construction Materials.

Carbon/Carbon:  Custom built and available only on select kayak models, our Carbon/Carbon construction comes standard with a clear deck and hull so that the graphite is visible.  For more information on our build options please see Construction Materials.

Trim Options:  All SEDA kayaks come standard with black trim which means the seam, cockpit seat, and coamings are colored black.  Or customize your kayak with a trim color that creates a stylish look!  Choose from any one of the colors above.

Fade Options:  Another way to customize your SEDA kayak is through a fade pattern on the deck.  Choose from any two of the colors listed above.

Please note that due to the nature of reproducing colors on a computer screen, the colors above may appear slightly differently when viewed in reality on the entire boat.  There is no guarantee that what is seen on your monitor will exactly match the finish on the completed boat.
