Every Seda kayak or canoe is backed with over 37 years of composite manufacturing expertise.  Our focus has always been and remains quality lightweight construction in fiberglass, Kevlar®, or carbon graphite.  We offer five construction options, so whether you are paddling for recreational, touring, or racing purposes, you are certain to find the right model at the right price to fit your budget!

 

 

Fiberglass (FG):

  

Our Fiberglass layup is a great value for paddlers first moving into composite boats.  Constructed with multiple layers of 45 degree biased fabric, a Seda fiberglass boat is resilient under repeated abuse and light enough to portage with ease.  Kayaks come standard with an Ivory hull and a deck color of your choice.  Canoes come with the hull color you select with an un-gelcoated interior.

 

 

Hybrid (HYB):

  

Our Hybrid layup blends the economy of fiberglass with the lightness of Kevlar®.  Replacing some of the fiberglass layers with Kevlar® is a great way to achieve a lighter and stronger boat without the premium of a full Kevlar® layup.  Hybrid kayaks come with your color choice on the deck and an Ivory hull.  However with a Hybrid build, you will see a full layer of Kevlar® on the inside of the deck and hull.  Likewise, Hybrid canoes will also have a full layer of Kevlar® visible on the inside of the hull.

 

 

Kevlar® (KEV):

  

Our full Kevlar® layup delivers high strength and structural rigidity with minimal weight.  Utilizing three layers of Kevlar® in both the hull and deck, our full Kevlar® layup is an excellent choice for touring and racing paddlers who are looking for a strong build at a weight that is a joy to load and launch!  Kevlar® kayaks come standard with a clear hull and a deck color of your choice.  Likewise Kevlar® canoes come with a clear hull as well.

 

 
Carbon/Kevlar® (CRB):

  

The choice for racers looking for more stiffness, the Carbon/Kevlar® build option is available only on select kayak models.  Our Carbon/Kevlar® kayaks come standard with a clear hull showing the carbon weave and clear decks showing the golden Kevlar® weave. However you may select a deck color of your choice over the three deck layers of Kevlar® for an additional charge.

 

 
Carbon/Carbon:

  

Custom built for demanding racers, this construction option creates the stiffest hull possible for the ultimate in responsive paddling.  This build option is available only on select kayak models.  Our Carbon/Carbon kayaks come standard with a clear carbon hull, clear carbon deck, with multiple backing layers of Kevlar®.
